Queensland Police would like to remind the public of the current Tsunami warning that is in place on the eastern seaboard of Australia. Several Government agencies, including the Department of Communty Safety, Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology and the Joint Australian Tsunami Warning Centre and have already issued warnings. There is a possibility of dangerous waves, strong ocean currents and foreshore flooding Particular threatened areas extend from Point Danger to St Lawrence, including Cleveland Point and Wellington Point in Brisbane have been closed.
