Boy, 16, dies from stab wounds in Brisbane CBD overnight
A 16-year-old boy has been stabbed and killed on Thursday night in Brisbane’s CBD.
The boy was confronted by a man, who police believe was known to him, around 8pm, at Emma Miller Place, near Roma Street Station.
Police allege the man delivered a life-threatening wound to the boy’s stomach.
With the knife wound, the boy continued to walk towards King George Square, which was around 200m away.
He collapsed there.
Police found him there and ambulance officers treated him at the scene.
The offender was seen running the other way towards nearby Roma Street Parklands.
The stab victim was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
Tragically the boy died in hospital.
