Break and enter charges, Ipswich District

Detectives have charged four men after they allegedly broke into a supermarket in Collingwood Park overnight.

It will be alleged just after midnight, a group of men in a black sedan attended a Fernvale supermarket and attempted to smash the entry doors.  Cleaners who were inside disturbed the men who then fled the scene.   

It will be further alleged at 12.50am four men attended a supermarket in Collingwood Drive and used a sledgehammer to smash the glass door.  They have removed cigarettes and mobile phones before leaving in a black Volkswagen Jetta.

Police observed the vehicle on Collingwood Drive and followed it onto the Cunningham Highway and Ripley Road where the vehicle stopped behind the Ripley Town Centre and four men fled…
