BREAKING: Queensland will declare the local government area of Whittlesea a COVID-19 hotspot, after confirmation Victoria’s cluster has grown to nine cases.

From 1am Wednesday 26 May, anyone arriving into Queensland who has been in Whittlesea since May 11 will go into hotel quarantine.

From 1am Thursday 27 May, everyone arriving from Victoria will be required to complete a border pass.

Anyone who has been in the Whittlesea local government area since 11 May will not be allowed to enter Queensland.

Queensland residents will be able to return home, but will need to go into hotel quarantine.
