Brisbane lockdown end date comes EARLY as one new COVID case confirmed in Queensland
Greater Brisbane’s lockdown will end early after Queensland recorded one community case of COVID-19 overnight.
The development on Thursday sees the end of the three-day lockdown, slated for 5pm, moved forward to midday.
“Easter is good to go,” Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said.
Despite an additional nine new cases in hotel quarantine, the premier said Queensland had met the requirements to lift the lockdown.
The singular case outside of hotel quarantine on Thursday is linked to one of Queensland’s known clusters.
The patient attended a hen’s party in Byron Bay with an infectious Brisbane nurse.
