Brisbane nightclubs, bars, shopping centres, gyms and a TAFE added to COVID alert list

A staggering 37 new COVID alerts have been issued after venues were identified as being exposed by infectious cases across southeast Queensland.

Nightclubs, bars, shopping centres, gyms and a TAFE campus have been added to the list of venues on alert on Wednesday.

A person spent three hours at the Hamilton Hotel on a Tuesday before testing positive, according to Queensland Health.

Anyone at the pub at the same time is considered to be a close contact.

That means they must go in quarantine for 14 days and complete the contact tracing self-assessment.
