There’s an air of excitement and expectation about promising filly Tycoon Evie as she plots a path towards the Queensland Oaks.

Multiple Group 1-winning rider Mark Du Plessis says Saturday is the time for Queensland Oaks-bound filly Tycoon Evie to really prove herself as she chases her first Stakes win.

And the Zimbabwe-born former New Zealand rider expects Rex Lipp’s excitement machine to continue on her winning ways and make it four in a row in the Listed Princess Stakes (1630m) at Doomben on Saturday.

Three-year-old Tycoon Evie, a powerful winner over 1200m at Eagle Farm last start after returning from a short let-up, will be trying to defy her sprinter’s pedigree and show she is on track for a Group 1 Oaks tilt.
