Family reeling over death of Queensland boy Deklan Babington-MacDonald after toy accident

The family of Queensland boy Deklan Babington-MacDonald are struggling to comes with his death after an accident involving a toy.

Deklan, aged six, died after becoming “entangled” in a penguin toy purchased from SeaWorld on the Gold Coast, his family claims.

He was admitted to the intensive care unit at Queensland Children’s Hospital after the Anzac Day incident, before his family was told he was “beyond recovery”.

He lost his life days later.

“The world doesn’t make sense, and it’s definitely not fair,” a family member posted on Facebook, along with photos of the boy.

“There has been too much joy and love lost.”

Other loved ones of Deklan have paid tribute by posting photos of the little boy.
