North Queensland community rallies around family after father’s death in ute crash
A man who has left behind three young children after a crash in north Queensland has been described as “one of the good ones”.
The Burdekin community has rallied around the family of Simon Dunlop, who died when his ute overturned in a single-vehicle incident near Charters Towers on April 21.
The 35-year-old was travelling on the Flinders Highway when his vehicle left the road.
Dunlop has left behind his long-term partner and their three children aged 11, eight and one.
A GoFundMe page set up to support the family has raised more than $30,000.
“Simon truly was one of the good ones,” the page reads.
