Police investigation after woman’s body discovered in Burleigh charity bin on the Gold Coast

A woman has been found dead in a charity bin in the coastal suburb of Burleigh on the Gold Coast.

The woman’s body was found around 7am on Monday in a bin at the rear of Stockland Burleigh Heads Shopping Centre off West Burleigh Road.

Her death has been deemed non-suspicious by Queensland Police.

Officers are investigating whether “misadventure” led to her death, a police spokesman said.

However it is unknown why she went into the receptacle.

Paramedics were called to the scene but the woman was dead upon arrival.
