Suzi Taylor’s ‘sad’ spiral from TV stardom to solitary confinement

Six years ago, Suzi Taylor was a popular contestant on prime-time reality TV show The Block. This week, 18 months of dealing with criminal charges and prison stints came to an end.

When convicting and sentencing Taylor for about 30 charges, Magistrate Stephen Courtney described the former model and real estate agent’s story as “a sad one”.

The 50-year-old was handed a reprieve when she was convicted but not further punished for her remaining charges. She walked free from Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday night.
