Teenager killed after motorbike crashes into fence at Brisbane track

A 16-year-old boy has died after his motorbike crashed into a fence during a Brisbane dirt bike race at a public track on Monday.

The victim was racing at Mick Doohan Raceway on Raubers Road at Banyo, on Brisbane’s northside, when he crashed about 1.45pm and died at the scene.

North Brisbane Junior Motorcycle Club urged spectators not to post footage on social media.

“Due to an incident that occurred at the venue today, can we please ask that no footage or images of the QLD Track Titles be posted on any social media forum from herein,” the club wrote on Facebook.
