Today #OnTheFrontline we meet Anthony Galea, a proud Quandamooka man of the Moreton Bay region who began his ambulance career in his hometown of Dunwich on North Stradbroke Island (Minjerrabah). Starting as an honorary officer in 1996, Anthony spent eight years working on the island before moving across to the mainland as a student paramedic.

This was a big challenge for Anthony, as it meant moving away from his home, family and community as he began a full-time roster at Capalaba Station. Over the years, Anthony has collected a variety of experiences working throughout South-East Queensland and currently works as a patient transport officer in Metro South.
