Traveller involved in Brisbane airport breach tests positive for COVID-19
A traveller involved a green zone breach at Brisbane international airport after arriving from Papua New Guinea has tested positive for COVID-19.
The person was one of two travellers involved in the breach by proceeding through screening to transit as per normal process despite arriving on a ‘red’ flight from Port Moresby on Monday morning.
They returned a positive test overnight on Friday, while other traveller has tested negative.
“Anyone who was in the terminal between 9.45am and midday on Thursday, 29 April 2021, should monitor their symptoms and get tested immediately if they feel unwell,” Queensland Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young said.
